Thilina Gunasinghe serves as the Chief Digital and Technology Officer of Bath & Body Works Inc., having joined the business in April 2023. He partners with leaders across the organization and is responsible to develop and activate the overall digital and technology strategy, design and execute our enterprise-wide transformation, and to elevate our brand through AI, technology, data and analytics. He is an accomplished leader who brings more than two decades of deep technology, digital and data experience to Bath & Body Works.

Prior to joining Bath & Body Works, Gunasinghe served as Global Vice President, Chief Technology Architect & Data Officer at McDonald’s Corporation and was responsible for leading all customer, digital and restaurant technology architecture, and data globally. In this role, he led the McDonald’s Digital transformation that delivered over $26B in sales. Prior to McDonald’s, Gunasinghe was responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of a wide range of mission-critical, highly scalable and performance-centric software solutions across multiple domains such as aerospace, banking + financial services, information management and retail.

Gunasinghe earned his undergraduate degree in Computing and Information Systems from the London Guildhall University, England and holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from the University of York, England.

Gunasinghe moved to the United States in 2005. He lives with his wife, Alison, and daughter, Athena, in the Chicagoland area.
