Paul Bucalo is Dollar General’s senior director of digital & marketing engineering.

With more than 20 years of experience driving technology strategy, digital analytics and customer acquisition technology, Paul leads a team devoted to business-led, technology transformation to drive growth and innovation. He joined Dollar General in 2022, and as senior director of digital and marketing engineering, his current responsibilities include driving new capabilities across owned and paid channels, ad tech, eComm and measurement.

Prior to joining DG, Paul held roles of increasing responsibility at Walmart for more than six years, most recently as director of group product management for Walmart marketing technology where he launched an organizational shift to agile marketing, and a new, dynamic personalized marketing experience. He also previously served as a consultant for startups and the media industry.
